A rare vintage Herbert Terry #1209 anglepoise lamp which dates from 1940's. 
The 1209 was one of the very first production models of George Cowardine's anglepoise designs. Has the heavy industrial version of the base. This has been restored to its original colour with new cable, light fitting and switch. It is in good condition, however, some small dents on the shade.
